Sutter Health Plan members have access to Bedside Mobile, a feature within My Health Online that helps patients stay connected throughout an inpatient or observation stay, including Emergency Department visits. Once admitted to a Sutter hospital, the “Your Hospital Stay” menu automatically appears at the top of the My Health Online homepage, bringing real-time information directly to your device.
“Bedside Mobile reflects how we’re using digital connectivity to reimagine the hospital experience,” says Dr. Robert Bixler, Medical Director at Sutter Health Plan. “It keeps patients and caregivers connected to their care team and care plan in meaningful, real-time ways.”

Bedside Mobile provides important hospital stay information in one secure, easy-to-use place. Members can view upcoming clinical events, such as blood draws or provider visits, along with care team details, lab results, medications and educational resources. This digital access helps patients better understand what’s happening and what to expect next, without waiting for updates.
Connecting Families and Caregivers
Care doesn’t stop with the patient. Authorized family members and caregivers can also access Bedside Mobile to stay informed about the patient’s status, care plan and upcoming events — even if they aren’t physically at the hospital. This shared digital visibility helps families stay aligned, ask informed questions and feel more involved throughout the hospital journey.
The platform is especially valuable for parents with infants in the NICU and for families managing care from a distance, offering peace of mind through continuous digital connection.
Enrolling in My Health Online
Enrolling in My Health Online is easy, with several convenient options:
- At the doctor’s office: Get in-person support at your next appointment.
- With an access code: Request a code from your care team or submit a downloadable form.
- Online: Complete a secure online form and verify your account. Parents and caregivers can also create accounts for teens ages 12 to 17.
- By phone: Call 800-4SUTTER weekdays, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
